After years of running pop-ups out of our cozy home base, Violets On Main Village Bakery in Merrickville, we decided to take our flavourful storytelling on the road. Forklore is our mobile kitchen dedicated to BBQ, sandwiches, and unforgettable eats served with a whole lot of heart.
We’re Christine and Sam — partners in life, love, and lunch. Sam’s the BBQ mastermind, happiest when he’s smoking meat and feeding a crowd. Christine is the face you’ll see out front, bringing big energy, warm welcomes, and community connections to every market and pop-up. Forklore isn’t just our passion — it’s the next chapter in the life and family we’ve built together.
Our mission is simple: feed our community fresh, local, mouthwatering food that brings people together. You’ll find us popping up around Merrickville, Stittsville, Greely, and more spots around the Ottawa area — just follow the delicious smells and the purple rolling pin.
